Head of Operations and Compliance

Mr. Qing Zhu is an experienced investment and operations executive with over 20 years of professional experience across telecommunications, technology, and private equity. He currently serves as Head of Operations and Compliance at Empyrean Sky Partners, where he leads strategic oversight of fund compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across cross-portfolio investments. 

Prior to joining Empyrean Sky Partners, Mr. Zhu was Head of Investment Management at CloudWalk Technology, overseeing strategic investments and post-investment management, and previously served as Managing Director at Life Venture Partners, focusing on healthcare investments and portfolio value creation. From 2014 to 2022, he was Executive Director and Head of Fund Operations at China Renaissance, where he built institutional fund operation frameworks, managed investor relations, and ensured regulatory compliance. During his tenure, he participated in key transactions including Focus Media (002027), iSoftStone (301236), and Huoli Tianhui. Earlier, Mr. Zhu held senior roles in leading telecom and technology firms, including Ericsson China, Shanghai Bell, and Huawei Technologies, gaining deep expertise in technology strategy, software applications, and communications systems.

Mr. Zhu holds an MBA from Fudan University, a Master’s in Communication and Information Systems, and a Bachelor’s in Radio Technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Combining technical acumen with financial discipline, he specializes in fund operations, risk control, and strategic investment management.
